1% Law

The Act to promote workforce skills development and recognition has been in place in Quebec for more than ten years.

All companies registered in Quebec with a payroll exceeding $1,000,000 are required to invest at least 1% of their payroll in training, or pay an equivalent amount to the province’s Workforce Skills Development and Recognition Fund.
